A Number One bestseller in Sweden during its publication week, number two the following week.

Simon Gärdenfors is a Swedish cartoonist, rapper, television presenter, stand up comedian, sitcom producer and radio host. He has published graphic novels, as well as several short pieces for the Swedish comic anthology GALAGO. One of his most famous comics is about Per-Olof Svensson, the formerly accused, subsequently acquitted murderer of then Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Anna Lindh. Another one, THE 120 DAYS OF SIMON, a social experiment in which he spent four months around Sweden being hosted by random people, was translated into English by Top Shelf.

Summary

When Simon was seventeen he got a phone call from the hospital: his best friend Kalle had died from a sudden case of meningitis. In the book, Simon recounts how he and Kalle became friends, their hilarious teenage boys' relationship, Kalle’s death and what his life was like in the years after his friend's death.

He tells his story, but also the story of the people around him. One of them, perhaps the most piercing, is Kalle's mother, Anna. We see the way she dealt with the loss of her son.

A funny, sharp, and unpretentiously deep comic book.
