Pitch

Known for using her own life as a backdrop to her stories, Justine Lévy has now turned to a collection of family portraits to create entirely fictional tales for the first time, and offers stories that are underpinned with her corrosive and endearing sense of humour. In doing so, she holds a mirror to all our lives.

Comments

The Anonymous Project is an art project based in Paris and dedicated to anonymous slide photographs. One of the largest collections in the world (it holds more than 700,000 images), the Anonymous Project has already received wide-ranging media coverage in France and abroad. The project’s premise: to highlight, and salvage from potential oblivion, a wide and anonymous piece of our collective memory. All of these amateur photographs make up a kaleidoscopic diary of one particular era and society.

Justine Lévy is a French author. She is the daughter of the French Philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy. Her books include autofiction novels such as LE RENDEZ-VOUS, RIEN DE GRAVE (Nothing serious), and MAUVAISE FILLE (Bad girl/daughter, published in twelve countries and selected for the Goncourt prize). MAUVAISE FILLE was made into a film in 2012 by Patrick Mille, with Izïa Higelin and Carole Bouquet.
