Summary

Gerardo seems to lead a picture-book life: married to the attractive Abril, father of great twins, successful gynaecologist in a prestigious clinic. But he is not happy. He increasingly reacts to his wife’s advances by pretending headaches. Her skinny figure, for which she counts every mouthful, only provokes rejection in him. Quite different is his reaction to Pandora, the new secretary in his department: she weighs in at 120 kilos on the scales and soothes the minds of the wives after her predecessor’s several affairs with the doctors. In Gerardo, this strategy does not work, on the contrary: he devours Pandora with looks and starts inviting her to lunch. She no longer understands the world - what does this attractive doctor want from her? Pandora has never had a boyfriend and is now determined to enjoy every moment for as long as possible.

The two understand each other brilliantly, and one day Gerardo makes a suggestion: he wants to be with Pandora, to have her all to himself - as far as his work and family life will allow, of course. She shall quit her job; he wants to rent a cottage and visit her there every day. Money is not a problem. Pandora rejoices: for her, Gerardo is the great love, and certainly the only one in her life, and so she says yes, without telling anyone where she is going. Gerardo takes care of everything and does indeed come every day. He wants his lover to get even bigger: the more of her there is, the more he can love her...
