Summary

The protagonist of the story is Lucia Lombardi, a woman who owns a wedding planning society in a pink building in the city centre. The building was given to her as a gift by Tony, her ex-boyfriend, who left her just before getting married. At first, the business was doing great but, in later years, people stopped getting married and the market was affected. Lucia has to find a way to save the company and she already has an idea, even though it is not legal at all. She wants to blackmail her ex-boyfriend Tony, who is a public figure, to force him to give her money - or else she will tell a gossip magazine that he is gay. This triggers a series of extravagant events. Lucia is supported by a group of female friends and colleagues. There are Stella, a skilful dressmaker who sews the best wedding dresses; Gemma, who fell in love with an unknown man stumbled upon at the Fiumicino Airport; Maria Vittoria who is a fan of Greek myths and tragedies and Maria Elisabetta, a writer.
